Frequently Asked Questions
When do I need to cancel to avoid being charged?
At least two days before your renewal or trial end date, through Account Settings. All memberships and trials renew automatically, except gift memberships.
Do coupon codes work on renewals?
Generally no. Most codes are for new subscriptions, and renewals bill at list price. Introductory offers also renew at the regular rate afterward.
Can I get a refund on an AncestryDNA kit?
Yes, if you request it and return the kit within 60 days of ordering. A $15 processing fee is deducted, and US shipping and processing charges aren't refunded.
Can I enter a coupon in the app?
Not reliably. Coupon fields appear on the website, and the app doesn't have one, so start your purchase at ancestry.com if you have a code.
