Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Talbots return window now?
Purchases made after July 20, 2026 have 30 days, counted from the purchase date in stores or the ship date for online and phone orders. Earlier purchases keep the old 60 days.
Will Talbots adjust the price if an item goes on sale?
Yes, when the price drops within 14 days of the original purchase or ship date. The adjustment goes to your original payment method unless you prefer merchandise credit.
Can the birthday discount be combined with other offers?
Yes, but it excludes gift cards. You also need to have used your Talbots card or loyalty card at least once in the past 24 months.
Can I return or price adjust final sale items?
No. Merchandise marked final sale, in stores or online, is sold as is. It cannot be returned, exchanged or price adjusted.
Does mailing a return cost anything?
Using the prepaid UPS label from the returns portal takes $9.95 out of your refund, and original shipping fees are not refunded. Online orders can also be returned to a Talbots retail store.
