How long do I have to return a phone?
30 days from purchase for devices and accessories bought from Verizon. A $50 restocking fee plus tax applies to device returns and exchanges, except in Hawaii.
Can I exchange a phone?
Once. Send it back in the original box in like new condition with the receipt. Shipping charges may apply to the replacement.
Do retailer purchases follow this policy?
No. Devices bought from an Authorized Retailer follow that retailer's policy. The exception is a device that Verizon mailed to you or that you picked up at a Verizon store.
Does returning a phone cancel my service?
No, you have to call customer service to cancel. Return the device within the 30 day window to avoid any Early Termination Fee that may apply to your line. The activation fee is only waived if you terminate within 3 days of activation.
What happens to promotional value if I return a device?
Verizon charges back trade in value if you return or exchange the promotional device. If you return only one phone from a buy one get one offer, the promotion is cancelled and the benefit is charged on your next bill.
